After enjoying your buffet breakfast, drive down to the lowest spot on Earth - the Dead Sea. Due to the hypersalination of the water, one can float with ease in the Dead Sea; in fact, it's nearly impossible to sink!
Continue northwards to Pella in the Jordan Valley. Pella is one of the most ancient sites in Jordan. Continue to Um Qais, Gedara of the Bible, for a spectacular view of the Sea of Galilee, the Yarmouk River and the Golan Heights. Return in the late afternoon to Amman. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then depart for a late morning tour of Jerash (Gerasa), the best preserved city of Roman times to visit historical attractions.

Today after breakfast, check-out and drive southwards along the King's Way to Petra, visiting Madaba which is known for its 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land in the Greek Orhodox church of St. George and its Mosaic School, Mt. Nebo and the alleged burial site of Moses overlooking the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley. Mt. Nebo.
Then drive through the magnificent scenery of Wadi Mujib to Kerak to visit the Crusader Castle. Check-in to your hotel and rest of the day at leisure. |

This city was carved into the rose-red Sharah Mountains by the Nabateans and lost to civilization until rediscovered by the Swiss Burkhardt. Walk through the Siq, a narrow and winding fissure between the cliffs to reach the Treasury, the Roman Theater, the Courts, Qasr Bint Faraoun, Temple of the Winged Lion and other monuments. Start the morning with breakfast at your hotel. Today visit the Wadi Rum Desert (with a short ride in a 4x4 vehicle) and its awesome moon-like landscape, where the film "Lawrence of Arabia" was shot.
Wadi Rum is also known as the Valley of the Moon. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wadi Rum is home to the Zalabieh tribe, who developed eco-adventure tourism and services throughout the protected area. If time permits, a short visit to Aqaba is next which is Jordan's only sea port city. Aqaba's location next to Wadi Rum and Petra has turned it into a famous tourism attraction.
